Birregurra Landcare is a volunteer-based non-profit environmental group part of the Upper Barwon Landcare Network (UBLN)
The group has been integral to the revegetation and continued care of both sides of the Barwon River at the eastern entrance to the town endearingly known and formally identified as “Platypus Point” – an important landmark and part of the social and environmental fabric of the town

Group Vision
Working with the community of the Birregurra Township and surrounds to create and maintain a healthy and biodiverse habitat for the Platypus along the Barwon River and Atkin creek riparian area and contributing to the overall aestehics of the town, wellbeing of the community and honouring our common history and heritage through maintaining the Birregurra Heritage Trail and garden
